Handguns stolen from P.A. business

The Prince Albert police are investigating after a number of handguns were stolen from a downtown area business early Wednesday morning.

Surveillence video from Arnie’s Guns and Archery store showed two suspects breaking into the business just before 5 a.m. The suspects proceeded to take the guns and leave. No ammunition was stolen.

Sgt. Travis Willie said there is a concern with these guns on the street.

“There are officer safety concerns for sure. Our officers have to be aware that they are out there and may be coming across them,” he said.

Willie said he could not comment on how well secured the guns were in the store. Two suspects were captured on the surveillence camera footage, but both had their faces covered and appeared to be wearing gloves.

“Unfortunately the still-photos and the video don’t show a whole lot so that’s unfortunate. We are definitely going to be asking the public if they have any information or anything about this crime to contact us,” Willie said.

paNOW has attempted to contact the store owner, but he declined comment.
